Some bros only find this function useful only when they go tracking or up/down Genting/Cameron. Won't be a cheap mod. Expect 4 digits. If I recall correctly, when I enquired for my e39, quoted $1,800 for a M3 steering wheel with paddle-shift and I have to use back my air-bag. If u ask seller to throw in air-bag, will be abt $500 more I think. That was 6 mths back. Might be cheaper now since USD is low. If retrofit in other fashion as mentioned by RB, will be cheaper though.

How much is it bro?

seriously, i think i will use it more when i have it done up.
cant say that i like the steptronic on the current setup.
but T6 has merit in saying that.
will give it some serious thot......
i can always use the money to mod something else....
but in the meantime, will leave my name on the list.....

check out the site lah... http://www.bmw-paddleshift-retro.com/
lazy bum...

actually for the 3 series boys hor... u can ask for different steering design... so quite cool lah... at least u have 2 new toys... hehe!!!

Even though the shifts aren't mechnically faster, the fact is that you do not have to reach down and push/pull the gearknob (compared to just instanteous "clicking" of e paddles). Not to mention you retain both hands on the wheel at all times.

Ahh, those were the days. ;)

I drive an E46 320 (2003). Must buy the kit with the wheel? Or can just order the kit? Should be able to hor?

:silenced:

wah must send in the wheel for them to modify. If not must buy a new steering wheel. :(

There are essentially two options:

Option 1.
You can send in your steering wheel to be modified by us. We will provide the SSG paddles and the DIY kit. You have to pay one-way shipping. Starts from US$850.00.

Option 2.
We can purchase a new steering wheel , modify it with SSG paddles and provide the DIY kit. All you need to do is sit back, relax and wait for the SSG retrofit set. Starts from US$1190.00.

Geoff,
i bot my paddleshift kit from him. have to say he's a good guy. responsive and the kit is pretty easy to install if you know your way around. comes with documentation and pictures. But he's bit expensive as you can see. I used his kit because i wasn't sure if anyone could do it onthe x5 locally.

true to that... he's very responsive to all my emails and queries...
i feel the cost is very justifyable, as i am not sure about anyone doin it right here too!!!
