How will the COE affect new cars from PML?

Hi all,

I would like to check with the gurus here,

I've signed a 328i Sports Line from PML in early March @ 234,800.

With the recent COE rise to 82k, PML has already revised the price to 240,800.

Now with the latest spike to 92k, PML is only going to hold the 240,800 for 3 more days before revising the price again.

Question is:

What are the chances of me still getting my car?
Will I need to topup?
How can I find out what's the trigger level for them to cancel the deal or anything?
Have anyone experienced this before?

Thanks and best regards,
Jeremy

Did they promise u a guaranteed Coe bid or maybe a 3 bid try before they refund u deposit n stuff?

Re: How will the COE affect new cars from PML?

Even if they give u a Coe of $91k they still make $40 k from u by selling at 234k
Y u worry bro? U alrdy given them super fat margins in the 1st place.

Re: How will the COE affect new cars from PML?

99% you get the car
no need to top up coe, if yes go bang table real hard.
if pml really want to cancel the deal, that's really bad :shoot:
when pml sell you the car, they have scholar's mind in the backroom to anticipate the unanticipated coe liao ... all profit margin has been factored in ... mai worry

Ok thanks!

I know PI are bringing in the sports line with my options for around 212 - 218k at the moment (When COE was still 82k), but w/o comfort access.

the sale agent guy told me don't worry as even the coe keep raising..the price for my ride is maintain ,

just now sms and confirm with him and ask him push the germany side to faster delivery.

earliest for me to collect is end june/early july ~

Re: How will the COE affect new cars from PML?

PML is a big AD leh ... you think each transaction they calculate here calculate there meh
each pricing they have studied it carefully. what they want is to sell car. not cannot bid and then cancel deal.
besides, each deal all profit margin has been factored in. pml wont do losing money biz la ... :D

sad to say, you wont be getting your car, 6 bid and they return you your deposit.
they can sell at higher price to new customer.

you should have opt for guaranteed coe.

cant opt for guaranteed bid, its all same now, for 6 bid non guaranteed.

Thats why I opt for incoming stocks when I booked my F30 335, which was like 2 weeks away only. I lost the chance to get early bird booking of $253k+, but hearsay from my SE is those customers who bought them had to top up for the COE, else they wun get it, compared to my case where I pay $78k for the COE that turns out to be $82k, its secured then.

I dun PML will shun a few k issue, but if its gonna be $10k diff, they can always refund u and sell it to another customer willing to pay tat amount for a readily avail ride, what u said is true.

Much as I wanted the M Sports, I'd rather not wait, my dealer frens and SE were not wrong to say COE will shoot. From Feb- March it has shot from $70+k to $92k now. If I had signed and waited for the M Sports, my top up could have bought me a full Vorsteiner kit (if its avail then) + other stuff :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Re: How will the COE affect new cars from PML?

with more FT, the COE sure cheong becos roads still same same space.

now u no need $20,000 COE for one car too slow, now one car tong 5 COE. less car less paperwork more road.

i salute you,you are lucky?
is your f30 335 good ??
i heard interior sucks, especially the nav screen, cant retract.

Re: How will the COE affect new cars from PML?

I booked my 335 in late March, and they got me my COE on the first bidding thereafter. However, I only knew that they had secured the COE by going to the open bidding website and checking using my own particulars. SE didn't bother to call and tell me. :-(

Now just waiting for the car to arrive in Singapore - it was supposed to be already on the way when I booked it, but it's somehow been delayed.

Original poster - have you checked with them whether they already got your COE? Or do they normally wait and bid later if the car is only for delivery a few months later?

Lol
The screen can't retract la. It is made this way.

To TS,

Sad to say, you need to top up the COE.
If you have chosen ex stock, they might still let it go. By aug, Coe may be 200k liao.
PML is a profit maximizing company...........they will chop you gow gow

I have a feeling that bro hitmee may be right on this count. Non guarantee COE means that - 6 bids, no guarantee. You'll likely need to top up. How much depends on how well the economy is doing. Lew Tuck Yew say one. Just like how $1000 can smelly smelly buy HBD. Tharman say one.
