How to remove e90 sports steering wheel's Y-plate

Hi everyone,
May i know how i can remove my e90 sports steering wheel's Y-plate?
Got a CF Y-plate but can't remove the stock one. Do I forcefully ply it up?

It'll be easier if you remove the whole steering to change the face plate. But if you prefer to leave the steering wheel intact, then the next thing you have to do is remove the airbag. Next, locate the 3 screws that secure the face plate. Unscrew and replace. See pictures.

Thanks pengful! I will try and remove airbag first.

Dun think it's that straight forward...might need to disconnect the battery first...better check first...later the airbag blow up to your handsome robot face...

Agree w kris. Pls remove batt connection so air bag will not activate.

To be double safe, you can disconnect the battery. However, it is not necessary. Just do not insert the key and make sure all electrics are off. Been there, done that.

i would rather go to boss get it done. $30 labour should suffice ....
unexplainable things can happen to wrong offset car ... dun play play

I am guessing the CF Y-Plate costs less than $30...
