How to lower any further?

Bros,

As I was saying, my bone-stock standard 640i already scrapes the safety wheel stops at my house's carpark, as such:

This is a bone-stock PML fitted standard F13 with M-sport kit & 373M 20" wheels... :( :( :(

Re: How to lower any further?

even if no lowered also no no to parking head in, our sg hump is kan si lang high one

Re: How to lower any further?

The stopper already lowered - developer came to sand down the stoppers in 4 of the houses after we KPKB... of course, having a neighbour who's one of the bosses of Hong Seh (and who changes Masers on a daily basis) making the most KPKB noises helped a LOT.

I didn't dare to make too much noise ... me kuching kurap ikan bilis... 640i nia... not Maser Stradale or whatever that super lowered Maser my neighbour was driving... so, I just tag on his coat-tails & got my car park stoppers lowered in tandem :)

Re: How to lower any further?

Wobble, i nvr park head in with BMW. Regardless whether lowered or not, u could reverse park as head will always be lower than tail.

Re: How to lower any further?

Wobbles, don park head in. Always reverse park, my car lowered, i rarely have issues on clearances. I tink reverse park is best solution. :)

Re: How to lower any further?

Yup. I think I posted this before in another thread. BMW cannot park head in except if you have an X SUV

Re: How to lower any further?

Yeah, if I had an option, I'd love to reverse park - but, cannot with the F02 being so far & the F13 being pretty fat... because the F13's doors are much longer than a sedan's, if I reverse parked both cars, I can't open the F13's doors without banging into the F02 :(. If I head in the F13, there's enough space between my car park & my neighbour's to allow the F13 to swing open its doors wide enough for my fat ass to squeeze out of the car...

Sigh. How I wish I optioned a sun roof... can crawl out of the car that way, then can reverse park liao...

Re: How to lower any further?

Bro wobbles... Just my 2 cents... If they are private car park lots, can your management remove or hack away the wheel stops? I am sure wheel stops there are not necessary... dont think you will over park your car...

I tried asking, but yes, although they are private car park spaces, apparently, there's some stupid safety rule the MCST enforced to limit accidents - crap lah. Dunno if any of the ppl here with knowledge of such things can comment or not?

Wobbles I think a 6 series grand coupe will solve it

You fellows... really clever :nehnehhh::furious::lol2:

Like that I might as well say a GCB will solve ALL my problems, but I calculated, even if I sold my ass 10x a day for the rest of my life, I will still only be able to afford the guard house at the driveway of a GCB. I'll never make enough even for the damn downpayment...

I thought your swinging baguette is your real money maker
So humble ah

But the 6 gran coupe is seriously a looker.

Sorry Bro but the F13 sunroof cannot open enough for you to climb out. Should have bot F12. Then you can climb out and then close the top. Ha Ha

Bro, mai pichar lobang lah.

Jokes aside, recently, I enquired about the possibility of upgrading the horsepower, torque, lowering the springs etc - and since I wanted it stock (because I kiasi), I asked about the trade up to an M6 with Hendra @ MA.

Then, when I learnt that my 640i had already depreciated about $80K in 3 months of ownership (bought, with the M-sport kit, 373M 20"rims, Comfort Seats, Surround View, Auto-Park, Anthracite lining, individual options & not forgetting, deletion of sunroof - at $380K, given a quote at $300K), I quietly killed off any itch I thought I needed to scratch, called bro OMSHKS that very day itself and went ahead with the Swiss Chiptech instead.

I still have the quote the MA sales exec emailed me - as a sobering reminder just how expensive our 'hobby' can be.

And HOW PAINFUL.

A man knows when to cut losses & just be happy with what he has...

Yeah yeah :lol2::furious::lol2::furious: rub it in some more... genie me, why don't you...

Hehe, if I had your long porch, wide open garden, Sungei Buloh or not, I wouldn't be in this dilemma of wanting to lower the car, but unable to do so without scraping the begeesus out of the M-sport front...
