How to adjust tilting mirror when reversing (passenger side)

Hi all bros & sis,

Would like to check, does anyone know how to adjust the passenger side mirror to down more so I can see the curb while reversing? My previous car was able to adjust while in reverse mode, but it seems not working for X1. It only tilt down a bit which is sort of useless as not able to see anything.

There was another method of using memory button to assign it, but my wife is using the 2nd memory.

I presume you've already toggles the switch correctly so it tilts in the first place when the gear is engaged in reverse? If so, and if the auto tilt is not functioning well, perhaps it might be a mechanical fault? Can you manually tilt it down yourself?

Assuming no faults, nothing to fix, I reckon a cheap way is to get one of those convex fish eye mirrors and paste it to the passenger's side - helps with increasing visual field. A little fugly, but super practical

Hmmm... Almost forgot about this function. The tilting function on my gf's x3 Has stopped working for a while. How do u reactivate it?

try putting the side mirror (left / right) switch to the driver side

My passenger side mirror does not return to it's original position after I disengage the reverse gear (it went higher than original). What could be the problem?

Then you adjust back using the controls then commit it to memory ....
