Hi pengful,

good to hear that.................................

* more mods on the way??? Can consider upgrading to coilover when your stock suspension going up the lorry at a later stage.......( for a very much better handling )
cheers

AM now using B12 kit. Think that'll last me another 5 years...:)

Next mod is getting that minor oil leak problem fixed. :(

Re: How do we increase HP or performance of 323i engine?

does tuned vs stock tuning translate to creating 'additional' stress to the engine ?
just like overclocking PC CPU in the old days -> risk of overheating and cpu up lorry prematurely

by the way, i have nothing against ecu tuning and i'm very tempted to go for it. i just want to find out more and learn more to make an informed decision and not follow blindly

Makes sense to flash the ECU memory directly compared to piggybacks but that carries a certain amount of risks. Just like flashing the wrong bios into your PC and kaput.

Yes, more fun driving. Stock settings did suck.
For me, the best ECU reflash is my leg. I floor the throttle whenever i could. Now, throttle is very responsive. My only frustration is during slow moving traffic.

Haha!!! That's a good one... ECUs are smart these days(thanks to target AF calculations) and will compensate fuel injection (for e-throttle cases throttle response and lift) to suit individual driver habit to prevent engine damages... Its great for short run enjoyment but the capital improvement is required for the Long run advantages if you want to enjoy some economy of scale in terms of your fuel consumption and other fringe benefits of even more HP and stuff...

FYI, i m driving E39 520 hor. For short & long distance, i am enjoying my car. If i need more pwr & torque, i would consider a 530. For NA, ROI on engine mod is low. For suspension mod, it has better return except i always meet up with snail during corner.

When i am driving, fuel efficiency in the city is thrown of the windown especially IL6.
