There is a report from UBS saying that Housing price in SG will drop 10-15% in the next 12 months, what is your view on this? Will it drop or stable?

When bubbles burst, the bulls could not see it coming.

If it is predictable, it is sanity.

But bears are never sane.

Well, to be fair, for those who predicted a slowdown, they are correct so far.

There is slow down but I think prices are still going up am I right?

Slow down because people grabbed enough units already maybe? :)

Seriously, what's the track record of the UBS analyst? If you're gonna buy/sell based on a stranger's recommendation, he'd better be damn good.

Otherwise it's just noise.

I think you need to analyse things in isolation.

Prices are generally up but which area?

Is the composite reported by headlines accurate, or volume weighted?

What about volume? Caveat lodged?

Best synopsis - ask the property agents for an honest assessment - had they made more in 2011 and 2010? That's the best cue.

Slow down due to oversupply? Lately there are too much new property launches..

Scared mean scared, Want to buy means want to buy...

Actually, who has read the report? What is the gist of it?

Re: Housing price will drop 10-15% in the next 12 months

FT don't care la, will continue pay high cash for HDB they like..

Re: Housing price will drop 10-15% in the next 12 months

My approach in these uncertain times - if you're buying for own stay, now's as good a time as ever.

If you're hoping to flip - please open up a Prata stall - you'll make more money that way.

If you're hoping to invest - probably sit & wait, since you already have a roof over your head. Prices will not & cannot stay high forever, not with what, 50,000 units in the pipeline, and the HDB pumping out flats like it's going out of fashion...
