Hello to everyone, I know my log in name isn't very original sorry. I'm the proud owner of an e36 325i with the vanos unit which has been reliable so far, i've heard some horror stories about vanos but it's been ok so far fingers crossed. I would like to ask if anyone has any information about the onboard computer, you'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge with these kind of things i've only had the car for a little while. I would like to see if it's possible to display the fuel comsumption? Unfortunetly I've been informed that the computer fitted doesn't have that facility. The only buttons on the unit are from the left 1000, 100, 10 1 and a reset button followed by a check and test key. Outside air temp would be good to. I would also like to know if it's possible to upgrade the obc without panic attacks and breaking my bank account? It's an eight button obc.

i can't answer any of your queries regarding the obc on the e36.. but i'm sure someone else would be able to. do post another thread with your specific question as the header, this would attract more e36ers to your post.
