acmw: dun mind if u are seeing this, just some verification

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

Beware how you deal.

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

5k thru the internet? better not man..

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

Personally, i would not even do the deal even if he sent you the pics. Sounds very risky.

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

ask for more verification, identity/feedback on other forums?

if still in doubt...depends on you still i guess...

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

I agree with the others. I rather pay more than deal with an unknown entity through the internet. Peace of mind is priceless.

Even with useful pictures.
Do take care how you deal.

Anyone can post pictures with parts.
Don't pay a full sum. Lest you have some recourse/insurance.

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

never heard of him. buyers beware. simple formula in life....if its too good to be true, it probably is. wat u pay is wat u get.

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

ask for his number... call him

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

wow must sent spy to check his background first... 5K alot just thru internet on someone u heard only.

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

Got number call also no use. Prepaid SIM card only cost $18. Anytime can throw away.

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

thks guys for the advice and feedbacks...

he seems sincere and im aware of the dangers.... by the way im buying a lot of stuff so its not exactky a dirt cheap deal...

New Jersey is experincing a heavy storm as a fact but im sure as a consumer i am allowed to see some stuff right? :)

anyway its paypal im sending money across so its safe to get a legal recourse within 45days... but of course im still skeptical...more so now after i see the comments in this forum ... haha
quite negative...

btw, who bought the m6 cluster from him or who bought the assanti rims?

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

do bear in mind that this is a buyer-seller transaction...u are not exactly dealing with a commercial seller, even commercial seller also carries some risks when it comes to parts quality and compatibiity. some bros here have their fair share of prob even buying from reputable US sellers like jlevis etc.
as for paypal, unless it qualifies for full indeminity...chances are Paypal can only pay a mediator role, can't enforce anything if things turns out otherwise...kinda like the crap experience i had when i bought online from one of the HK online sites....Ebay can't enforce shit nothing when the goods turns out crap

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

Dont depend to much on paypal. If the seller account has no funds in his, you won be able to get anything from him or paypal. Just walk away from the deal.

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

Buy watch from a "reputable" dealer also kenna:

Buy steering wheel also kenna:

http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/singap...tion-pls-bad-incident-m5-steering-wheels.html

My take - the risks is so much higher than getting it from reputable resellers, I am not sure the savings justify the CREDIT risk. There was a time taxi drivers doubt their savings in UOB and OCBC. Who can you trust?

imagine this.
you go to a local shop.
ask to buy something worth $5k.
Then the seller says, oh a bit inconvenient to let you see the product.
why don't you pay first.
would you pay first?

I've been a seller of stuff myself
and I would never ask for payment.
unless i've made sure that the buyer has had a chance to fully inspect the product.
if not in person.
at least with detailed photos.

a seller who pushes for payment w/o product details.
*caveat emptor*

oh btw.
i use paypal all the time for my transactions.
once the money leaves my a/c.
i see little, if any legal recourse.

paypal is not a 100% fool proof way of protecting your money. it never was and it never will be.

Re: has anyone dealt with a forum bro nick "acmw"

I am surprised how the word "Bro" is still used rampantly whether you know that person or not...

In many cases, you have to be careful of the BRO label........

In "BRO-TO-BRO PRICES", it could well mean "BRO-PAYS-MORE" prices.
