Re: Hamann Rear Diffuser E92

Sam, what's the distance between the two mufflers?

Re: Hamann Rear Diffuser E92

no muffler change........hook up e diffuser n re-locate e current muffler outlets to centralise wif diffuser exhaust gap n finally weld on e quad tips......

I concur on e issue of e alignment not being in place.......just need to bend some 2" or 3" pipes to e rite angle weld onto e muffler n hook up e tips there after......

Pai seh to get all u bros so confused man...............

when it comes to batang we are always lost....if it is lobang, we'll definitely get it spot on rite away...........just for laugh mates...................

cheers

This is the exact point I am getting at.

Even if bent-pipes behind tips are do-able, your exhaust flows are compromised......

Hi bro,

I sold my e92 Hanman diffuser to KEEN and it fit nicely on his e90 335i on the remus quad exhaust...no adjustment needed. Maybe the spacing on the e90 335i remus exhaust is just perfect for e92 diffuser.

Take note also that changing the stock exhaust to quad, it can be done easily BUT have to remove the exhaust valve on the left hand side. This will make the exhaust louder. If you want to retain this valve, then more work need to be done. All these are because there is limited space from the exhaust box to the tip.

Hope this help.

+1...... so imagine the bending........

Re: Hamann Rear Diffuser E92

checked wif man n confirmed can be done except it will hav to take a bit time n skill for a close to perfect bending job...............

as for e performance of e muffler, it will not be compromised.......

it is explained tat any extension or re-routing of exhaust tips will not affect performance cause air flow within e muffler internally is e crucial point and after it is compressed n pushed out of e muffler, everything else is free flow......

anyhow, got to get e diffuser first before i can do anything else.......

cheers

Re: Hamann Rear Diffuser E92

hi all,

Oh Ya....forget to highlight this.

Using electric wielding on exhaust has 'high risk' on damaging the electrical component of the car....it happened to me once on my previous car where after the electric wielding, my internal air-con fan resistors 'BURNed'. This is possible because of the high current passing through the 'low resistance' resistors array of the fan resistor.

So flame weilding is highly recommmended.

There is a phase in BMW handbook where they indicate only specific electric wielder can be used SO i don't take any chance, always ask for flame wielding...

Did not happen this time doesnt means it will not happen....:)

Also remove your car key and let the car totally go to 'sleep' mode, about 20mins later before any electric wielding (if no choice).

hope this help. It happened to me once SO no more chance for me.

Oh, one more time, exterior mods.......

(1) Start with the rims....... minimum 19". And drop the ride !!! Perhaps add in BBK..........

(2) Oh, the exhaust muffler mod is important. Must fit your rear valance/diffuser.

(3) The body kit. Too many brands to name, can either mix and match or go wholly thematic. But watch the rear bumper mod to fit the right exhaust muffler.

(4) The more intricate details like emblems (get from SSZONE), kidney grilles (SSZONE)..........

(5) Got one step more hardcore - carbon fibre bonnet, carbon fibre trunk, M3 mirrors, Roof Spoilers...... carbon fibre roof and fenders?

(6) You might also wanna pay attention to xenon and fog bulbs and even angel eyes - yes, they are exterior mods.

(7) Tinting

Start to bleed your bank account.......
