Hi all.. I think this may be a very weird thing to post on net... but I have not clue to fix up my Beemer... So got to look for help...

My dad juz bought a re-conditional beemer from a importer last week.. a 525i series.. Was really excited about it.... but then.. to my dismay.. the radio that has the frequency up to FM 90 only... meaning anything beyond 90 we can't receive??? How how HOw?? anyone know anyshop that can re-configure the built in system?? Please advise... :whatthe:

Hi,

I had the same problem when I bought my radio from the US. I couldn't tune to even numbered stations. I found a fix but mine's an E46

From my limited understanding, you'll have to change the entire HU because its not configured for local use. This applies to JDM vehicles as well. The sound systems for the ITRs and Evos are all locally fixed.
