Gonna get E92 this Sun

Hi everyone, this may be a bit off topic but since its the only forum I can post in... here goes.

I'll be putting down a deposit for the E92 this Sunday from Vincar. Do you guys have any advice for me e.g. what to ask, what to be wary about? The dealer told me that the car is a 08 production - any issues with this? Does this mean that the car has been sitting in a warehouse somewhere since 08??

Just to let you know, the 08 E92 will not have the new iDrive.

If the car is PI, most probably there is no Idrive. But not sure about whether it has the DCT or not?

Late 08 335s do come with DCT

Hi guys, I'm not getting the 335Ci, so no iDrive as a standard. If I want iDrive I need to pay.

Anyway just to check with you guys is iDrive worth the extra 10k? Any advice appreciated. PML also warned me against going to PI since PI cars don't come with "tropical specs". What is tropical specs anyway?

10k for I Drive is not worth it - far better spending it on a beautiful set of DPEs and you'd still have change leftover for a nice bodykit ;-)
Tropical specs is PML"s way of saying hey let me make more profit off you....

I think PML just wants you to buy the car from them. The tropical specs reason is a myth. So many ppl are on PI cars here, esp BMWs, and most of them behave similarly to the PML ones which means they are the SAME. Tropical Specs meaning more attention to cooling. If you are not getting the 335Ci, all the more not to be worried. Go for it. Idrive to me is useful cause I can see everything there. If you are only gonna use it for GPS, then dont opt for iDrive. Get a garmin one. Much better.

What's the diff between a tropical spec'ed highline PML car and a highline PI car? Higher line? Whahahahaha, I find PML trying hard to justify their premium. They prey on fear (warranty issue).
