wont be so soon, earliest also Jan 2010, when my current insurance expires. Need time to demod my current ride and sell off the parts also.

BMWs always look good in alpine white, but my current ride is white also, very hard to maintain and I'm also the lazy type, so maybe a low maintainence colour like the graphite or silver, or the metallic red :D

Arggg 5 mths is a long time.... but I guess good stuff deserves the time...

Another color you can consider is Titanium Grey(understand that its a relatively new color)

Cheers

Re: G'day everybody

How about it in Sedona Red? That's the 'official' color used in BMW's advertising campaigns for the 135i.

I did consider the available stock of a Sedona Red on Coral Red interior when I was getting my ride, but figured that I shouldn't coz mine's not a 135i after all, and I didn't want people to think that I was some 135-wannabe hahaha.

Think like the M series, the 135 come in some colors that are not available for its other E82 siblings.

Re: G'day everybody

Welcome bro, I also made the crossover a few months ago from the Pleiades insignia to the white/blue propellor insignia, you may recognise my nick from SCS :)

However, my move is kinda backwards :( from an 07STi to an 06 320i. I have no doubt you will enjoy the 135i, as you will be upgrading both on the power front as well as the comfort front!

Re: G'day everybody

Haha to be honest the only thing that grew was the wheel size. Everything else shrank!

2.5l to 2.0l
Turbo to NA
4WD to 2WD
300hp to 156hp

Re: G'day everybody

Once you experience the N54 platform, there's no turning back >D

I recommend Blue Water on the 135i! :D

hmm....apparently whn I went down to PML sometime last month for a test drive, they didnt have one available for test. Also I was told by the SE that they dont bring inthe 6-spd manual version, even if wanted to indent, so I think maybe hve to go thru PI.

Any idea what the insurance and running costs fo this car i like? Say for a 33 yr old with 40% NCD? Also on avg what sort of mileage per litre can we expect?
Currently driving WRX so I expect insurance and maintainence wise shouln be too far off :D

PML told you they dont bring in the 6sp manual? who is your SA (sales advisor) or the person who told you this misconception? PML brought in the 1st ever sold 6sp with sun-roof for me and its on a 5mth indent. mine is a genuine PML car and that's fact.

sorry, there's absolutely no test cars at all.

mileage sucks especially if you are running 19" with wider than stock tyres and with mods involved you could expect 7-9km/lt. in case, some others disagree, my car is still being runned in (currently about 5700km after 8mths). and, that's after lightening the weight by about 80kg and driving easy.

insurance for me was quite good due to age being after 45yrs = SGD3300 from PML.

honest advice is BUY THE 135 WITH 6SP MANUAL AND SUNROOF!

hmmm...was a few mths back, cant rem the SA's name...was a guy. Whats the price difference between PML and PI? and other than the warranty, any other benefits getting from PML?

I'm abit skeptical abt warranties from authorised distributors, cos had bad experience with MotorImage. The moment u do anything to the car, even if its small thing like installing gauges, they will void the warranty. So technically my Subaru warranty was void the day I took delivery :D. Besides many other workshops can do a better job at lower price than MI.

Will this be the same case with PML as well? do they void warranty at slightest modification to the car?

7-9 km/L is accepatable, considering its a 3L TT. I'm getting abt the same on my rex and its a
2L single turbo.

Any idea which insurer PML uses? 3.3k for 45 yrs old seems abit on the high side..,,any NCB?

Also do all the 135 coupes come std with sunroof or is it an extra?

Thx :D

MSIG - in-house insurance. NCB start from scratch due to new car=new start. unable to transfer NCB from gti as its either the gti or the 135. manual = SGD6k deduction while sunroof = SGD3700 additional. they are sticky on the warranty and any small thing changed = MOD! hence, warranty void. but, the OMV is higher.

ok. Thats my current insurer also. I figured my premium shld be in the range of 2k+ with 40%.....i hope :D

OMV higher but upfront car price also higher mah :D

Re: G'day everybody

Should be NCD (no claim discount)..what i did recently when time to renew motor insurance is find an insurance broker to source for best quote..

give me your hp details (sorry but due to signed non-disclosure settlement cant openly post nor talk about matter) and i will personally tell you what delayed my collection from 5mths to 91/2 mths and you will know why i preferred to buy from authorised agent in the case of 'an indent only' model eg. x6 v8 twin-turbo, etc.

then, you can weigh and decide again.

its NOT the price but, the liabilities and ease of burden and liabilities when the car is shipped till the moment you collect the car. if you are buying you a non-indent model or a model that is available eg. x6 3.0 twin-turbo, then, you may consider PI.
