Fuel cap auto close

There were few times after pumping petrol, my fuel cap was not fully closed as i have locked the car. So using the comfort access to unlock the car, the fuel cap automatically close like theres a magnet inside. However this dont happens all the time. I am curious why?
So bascially i reach petrol station i get out, pump attendant open my fuel cap and begin refuelling. I lock my car.
When i return my car is locked and fuel cap slightly ajar as the attendant was not able to close fully.
When i unlock my car, fuel cap auto close

Happens once in a blue moon. Why? Any bro have this experience?

If you open fuel flap, lock the car, close the flap, it is definitely gonna be slightly ajar.
After that, it will pop back immediately when you unlock the car.
Repeatable every time you do the same procedure.

It doesnt work for me everytime. When the door is locked, the fuel cap bascially cannot be closed right? U can just push the fuel cap to the max and leave it ajar. Or the fuel cap can actually be push in further to activate the auto close?

Hi i managed to know why. After locking the car and leaving the fuel cap open, either yourself or the pump attendant must press the black button jnside the fuel cap before putting the fuel cap back in place but not fully closed. If this step is done, the fuel cap will auto sucked in and close when u next unlock. For bro that did not perform the extra step yourself, your oump attendant must be damm good coz not all will know his step. At least mine only happens 1 of 10 times haha
