Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

Hey ST Bro, read from another forum that the Blackvue suffers from overheating issues resulting in a halo effect if the car is parked underthe hot sun whilst operating in the park mode. Do you face any issues with that?

Thanks!

I'm not facing any overheating issues. But then again, I dont like to park my car under hot sun for extended periods.... black car have to take care.

Thanks guys For your insights. Unfortunately mine is pretty much under the sun during the day, only sheltered at night sianz. In MCF there has been numerous issues of overheating and destroyed lens that required the entire unit to be replaced all cos the units were parked under the sun and in pro monitoring mode. Guess I'll hv to look for another product then.

Cheers guys!

I have the Blackvue DR400G installed in my MINI for almost 4 months now. Other than being parked @ MSCP when home, it's under the sun during the most of the afternoon. Haven't experienced any overheating issues or the 'halo' effect from the DVR so far *touch wood*
