PI got warranty or not? I plan to get a few sets for whole family. Can intro your PI?:laughlik:

PI also got "warranty".... But becoz the selling price is low and his margin is also low, need to pay $30 to ship back to Korea for warranty repair.

That said, this product seem to have gone through above average QC checks before exported... unlike some MICkey-mouse (read: Made In China) products...

Didn't know that Speed Recording can be off... I will get the HD one then...

Yup! I turned off my speed recording on my DR400G HD too... That said, the speed is still recorded - but in a seperate file. At least the video will not show the speed. =)

Yup! Quite well.... I'm pretty pleased with its position.

May I ask if the ideal position is below the mirror or left of mirror? Cuz i have the high beam assistant, it is installed below the rear-view mirror mounting.

ok i got this reply from local distributor or AD ''WOw! Gadgets'' -

Thank you for the purchase and inquiry.

BMW system is more sensitive than other makes, we have a few cases reported (not all of them)
When you activate the parking mode (recording while parking), BlackVue is using the power from the car battery hence the BMW system sensed that there is current leaked. This error will not caused any major harm.

To prevent the error light, it is either to remove the parking mode feature (no Power Magic too).
Or else you need to ignore the error.
The cable need to be reconnected if you want to remove out the Power Magic.

I hope this helps to clarify. Have a great day.
I just get the error this morning.... even without power magic. Thought it was because I left the reading lights off last night. Will confirm again tmr morning. But I think no big deal if we can just ignore error msg.

Best position is below rearview mirror... so said the 833 guy who installed my unit when I ask him to put it beside the mirror.

7 days 1-1 exchange and 1 year overseas warranty. Position should be below the rear mirror. $380 for a single set. Charges 5-10 bucks on delivery depending otw or now. Buy 2 units get $15 off total bill and 3 units get $30 off total bill.

Since I know I will be getting some PMs for his contact, I will post his contact here. Xavier 97572495. Can whatsapp or sms him. His support is not bad and quite a likeable chap.

TMD... I should get commission from him.... :p

Thanks for your intro

I found this on ebay as well. Price wise similar.

BlackVue DR400G HD GPS 16GB Singapore | eBay

I just went to have a look. For my f10 cannot mount below the mirror leh, it will block the sensor for high beam assist(even though this function is useless in sg). I sms the supplier, dr400 can only tilt not pan. Thats why best to mount directly below the mirror at centre.

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

why cannot? a bit off center...mine is more to the right of the mirror and not directly under.

then the replies from Gary to me is correct. with or without PM...as long as power drawn by cam....the F10 detects it....and shut the other electrical appliances...what PM does it will protect your batt.

St8800: you will notice by now..when there is this warning, you side mirror does not auto flip open when opening the car door(with comfort access and not remote)

the funny thing is...this warning only occurs for overnight....in the day...even if i park the car 12-13hr never drive -no warning. but if i leave it overnight barely 8-10hr...there is warning.. i wonder if there is a clock triggering this...maybe i will try to do a check and start engine or go home after 12am...and see if in the morning drive at 8am any warning.

Pic Pic!! or the camera mount. Looks like I am sold on the idea too..

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

The Blackvue looks like the sleekest device available in the market. Perhaps should buy two at one go, one for the front and one for the rear.

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

Very nice cam... I like it a lot!

This is how it looks like mounted below the rearview mirror

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

Now that I m very comfortable with it, I just ordered another one from Xavier to install at the rear. Hopefully he got ex-stock and I can pickup tomorrow. But those who run lion, better don't tell your wife. Later she use this to check your movement.... u faint haha....

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

Sue anot.... can hear exos meh?

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

Thanks for the review. Looks impressive. Best option in the market. Did you get with GPS and powercube?

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

Yes, it comes with the GPS locator but I didn't install the power magic box because of feedback that it doesn't work well with BMW electronics.

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

True. The new Gen Bimmers have too much wired into them. Mucking around with the electronics is stronly discouraged.

Fortunately my car is more oldskool. So the powerbox should work nicely. How much is the unit btw?

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

$380... installation is $30 at 833 motorsport.
