??? for my new E90

Hi bro,

Have just collected my new machine for a week. So far it has given me different feel from my previous rides. I would like to enquire on some doubts on the car:

1) As mine comes with xenon headlight, does anyone know if this is approved bt LTA?

2) Do you guys normally "warm up" the car before switching on the aircon and moving off? If you do, how long do you spend doing that? The car is too quiet when first switch on the engine (very different from my previous ones as I knew I could move on once the noise died off),

3) Under the aircon, there are these RED and Blue colour lines, do they mean cold and warm air?

I will start engine and drive, but will not gun the car until the temp has climbed up a bit. In my car, when I start the engine, the temp shows 70deg Celcius. Once the needle goes above that (usually after driving maybe 3km), then I will feel ok to gun.

if not approved...u think PML will be selling cars with xenon meh... and some cars come stock with xenon...like ferraris and lambos... means they cannot be on sg roads meh

By the way I am learning to mod but hor, with the stats of a 320i, how fast can she goes after "mod"? and what are the things needed besides rims, coilver, exhaust systems and sparkplugs?

How fast?? How fast do you dare to drive here?....Go Change car/swap engine/SC haha..

if you wanna mod for power, don't waste time thinking, power is always not enough and E90 320 is not a car associated with power anyway haha..

And what is your definition of power? how much? With ALL the mods including ECU tune/map/chip etc in supposedly for "power" the E90 320 only gained 15bhp +/- max....which you can hardly feel anything..:nehnehhh: But no doubt you will get smoother more responsive ride, thats about it....

So perhaps work on the handling and looks will be better

That is exactly what I mean "with the stats, how fast can she go" no matter how much money spend on it, will not go much faster. Agree that spending monay on handling and look are much pratical.

Your car is new.....mod and your warrenty will be void. You can try...but bimmer just can't hide. Cos with four brains in your car (CPU).

1. If the car comes standard with Xenons, it's approved. Only if you go and fit aftermarket xenons or HIDs, then it is not-approved by LTA. Here's a link for you to read up on: ONE.MOTORING - Modifications Not Allowed

2. I would just drive. The car will warm up faster if u are moving than being stationary. If u think that the car is too quiet, change exhaust.

got some other questions about E90:

1. my e90 comes wiht Xenon, is it "safe" to just leave the the lights in "auto" while switching (start) on/off my car? "safe" as it will it damage the lights or the battery?

2. Same as Q1. how about the automatic Aircon?

3. Same as Q2, how about the Radio?

4. is the stock xenon 320 iXL from PML comes with dynamic control or just a plain xenon? cos i notice the lights does a "swing" when you switch on the car...which is quite cool i think ...

5. does the headunit plays other format than mp3?

6. is there a way to set the aircon to always circulate rather than i have to manually turn on each time i start the car..

paiseh... have to many questions in mind as i am still struggline with the manual...
