Flat tyre monitor (RPA)cfailure warning / drive stabilisation activated

Hi

Couple of days ago, my rear wheel hit a kerb while avoiding a car swerving in from my left. Got some abrasion on my rim and I just did not bother abt it.

2 days later, while driving, suddenly this message appeared on my idrive and dash control:- Flat tyre monitor failure warning / drive stabilisation activated / drive moderately

While this happened, my signal lights also went cuckoo and I have to manually switch it off after turning. Auto start stop ignition also disabled.

Made appointment to send in to performance motors to have it looked.

In the meantime, anyone encountered this issue before?

Just experienced that on my e60 and tyre shop found a nail. So you should get your tyres checked in case there is a slow leak.

Stay safe as they are the only things that separate you from the road.

Checked by performance already, tyres are ok, no leak. Next week, send in for diagnostic checks.

This looks like its a wheels related problem ...

Problem was faulty steering column switch cluster.

Don't know how this is linked to the flat tyre monitor.....but anyway warranty covered.

I encounter this a couple of days ago on my f20. Lucky its entering my estate already.

I switch off the engine and the car for a while and ignite back.. everything back to normal, drove to nearby shell pump tyres to recommended specs on tyres. To date no issue.

Not sure what happened.
