First time getting a BMW

lol! I guess almost every AD has this kind of table? At least I hope I do not need to book 3 months in advance for servicing at PML or to be attended to for any problems. Our current bad encounters with VCS has stopped us from getting any more vehicles from them.

That was the reason I sold my Golf and got a BMW. Servicing in VCS was crazy and I had to wait 3 months for the appointment it's such a joke. I just got my servicing for my Beemer done; waited for 3 weeks.

I see. Hmm... do hope that we do not encounter that problem. Even if so, just hope it does not bother my kids when they sleep in the car journeys. :)

lol! My kids were quite happy being in the rear seats of the showroom car. But I wonder if it was because they weren't inside their child seats.... Somehow they just don't like being tied down by the seat belts, especially my 1 year old boy. End up have to play some videos to entertain him during the journey. So am wondering if we should invest on those rear entertainment system or just get a iPad holder for the seats.

Hmm..? PML still 3 weeks? Wow. Thought PML's wait is about 1-2 weeks. But at least that still beats 3 months. :) You tried going to Munich? Saw their advert that going to them also keeps the BMW Warranty. Maybe theirs need not wait for so long?

Re: First time getting a BMW

Munich next day servicing... my preferred choice...
only downside... it's damn ulu...

Yeah! Took delivery of the white 528 earlier today and enjoyed the drive. Drove abit slowly though. Not accustomed to the size of the car. Especially when parking at home, had to take note that there is a long boot now. Need some getting used to. Guess that's what happens when one switch from a hatch back to a sedan.

Re: First time getting a BMW

Enjoy your new ride bwolf. I'm also trying to get accustomed to the Parking Assist System which is great.

Re: First time getting a BMW

Argh... made a wrong judgement call earlier today and mounted curb at a carpark. Didn't realize the car's turning radius is so big. Fortunately only gotten some white paint on the tyres.

Hmm... have yet to try out the parking assist though. How do you engage it?

The trick is to adjust both the side mirror so that the horizon is 1/3 of the mirrors from the top down. This way you will be able to see any curbs on both sides. You will also be able to see the parking lot white lines on both sides which aids your reverse parking.

The Parking distance control is automatic when you engage reverse gear, if not you can press the PDC button on the central console on your left. Hope this help
