F30 Passenger Seatbelt Chime

Just got my F30 and was wondering why the passenger seatbelt chime doesn't ring when passenger doesn't wear seat belt. PML SA said that from some time back, passenger seatbelt chime is now disabled.

Find it very hard to accept this. Is this true? I thought it's a useful feature especially for "stubborn" passengers and you don't want to impose.

Its supposed to chime, I haven got my program to disable it tho, I hate it absolutely whahahhahaa

Ask PML have a look to get it enabled again, its only a 3 min job to program it back

My wife was still telling me her diet is so successful till the seatbelt chine doesn't ring anymore.

My ride (not F30) still have the chime, it will start alerting when e passenger do not put on seat belt and will end once seatbelt is fasten. I did not know that it was disabled some time back. And since it was disabled, it is no rocket science that it can be reverse back.

My F10 doesn't have. I had checked with PML.. All new cars, the front passenger seat does not come with sensors anymore..

I wonder what's the logic for disabling it....but I'm sure there is a logical explanation for it....

Hey thanks guys for all the responses. So, my SA is not pulling my leg.

I think many people don't like it because it chimes when a heavy bag is on the seat. Since they don't come with sensors, it can't be programmed back on. Something I've learned. Thanks again!!

The passenger seat belt chime is disabled by default ..... It can be coded to chime though ......
