F30 owners - Switching off the radio/CD

Hi, just collected my 328i last weekend. I have a habit of switching off my music (cd/radio) whenever I get out of my car but can't do so with this infotainment. The on/off button always leads to mute and a check on the owners manual says that turning off is possible only after you turn off the engine but still leads to mute. A search on other bimmer sites leads to nothing as well.

It is true.

There is no OFF button.

Turn off the ignition ....... lock the door.

Watch the ride go to sleep in 5 minutes ......

It is a build in feature once you step out for your car, radio/CD/DVD will turn off automatically PROVIDED your car in LOCKED mode. If you step out of car without locking doors, music still go on. Now you are informed.

Hmm u can turn off the radio/cd by pressing once on the knob at the left? Besides mode/fm/am

I always do tat when i have incoming calls..

1thing i dont know how is to mute it.. I have to manually press - on the steering wheel..
