That's because Starlet got no power steering. Once i parallel parked BMW without power steering. It is 10 times worse than Starlet.

If car is after 3yrs, why bother which dealer is it from ?
I will just ask the dealer to leave if dealer that says PI cars must be lower priced than AD car

hmmm if brand new PI is 30k less than AD but in the 2nd market, PI can sell same price as AD car, then it makes more sense to buy PI cars.

Then that do have the same feeling as an e90, yipee!


Some said it's lighter and doesn't have that Bmw feel

(I have yet to go for a test drive though)

hmmm if brand new PI is 30k less than AD but in the 2nd market, PI can sell same price as AD car, then it makes more sense to buy PI cars.

A 316I AD can get you a 328I PI

Hey, i used to drive a starlet too.
Its the squarish 5spd version with SBH plate.
Always keep a spanner handy - advance or retard the timing depending on the fuel i pump.

Yes, E60 and E90 very similar feel.
F code platform use electric steering which does not feel so bmw-ish to us and this is also why M5/6 get the old hydraulic power steering.

I believe bmw is trying to improve it, let‘s see how they improve the F10 LCi steering.

My e84 does have servotronic steering so not quite what you were describing. I have driven a manual e30 before tho.

Perhaps SUV have diff steering feel calibration and should have slightly diff design to suit offroad duties.
E30 steering really cannot turn unless your car is moving right?

Yup. Manual steering. Heavier than an ox.

Dats why ask if can try yours for comparison. Knobs are boring....

Congrats! I suppose you went for a white one? Haha. What colour seats did you choose?
Did you ask your SC to disable the Start/Stop function for you? Have to program that on your keys.

yes, i got the alphine white with black color (& red stitch) seat. got the SC to disable the ASS, but, i am still trying to figure out why ASS still kick in on comfort-mode sometime... strange ... i will observe tt for another few days ...

You can press OFF button above StartPushButton to disable ASS. Default is on ASS. No need to program to disable ASS, right?

i got the SE to disable ASS permanently, so, i dun need to press the ASS button everytime i start the car. but, i understand tt this doesnt work when u are on Eco Pro mode, ie ASS always on during Eco Pro mode.
