Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe

If you can get a 325 for the $10K that you were preparing to put into mods, I suggest that you get a 325 instead and mods come later. Having owned a 320 before, IMO it is just too sluggish. Not enough torque.

Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe

Ya totally agree...

Y buy a car and spend 10k modding for more power when u can just put the 10k into the downpayment and get a 325Ci ?

Modding is only for ppl who have bot the car and then want more power, not the vice versa :)

Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe

thanks 4 e advice..but do ur mean tat i shld get a 325ci and stay with its original engine untouch and it already have enough torque to perform???i dun really need it to be as fast till it have 280HP cause usually i perfer enjoying driving slowly and enjoy..and i understand there is different version like SMG for 325ci..any advice which version shld i get?and stil wondering wat is the fuel consumption like??thanks people.....:)

Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe

Do a test drive and decide for yourself wat u like.

SMG u will get better power delivery since the transmission loss is lesser but compared with a auto, it will be slightly jerky.

My 325i SMG is running at 11L/100km. The 325Ci Auto should run slightly higher than that. I would think in the range of 12to 13L/100km

Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe

It is not a matter of driving fast. Both a 3 litre and the 2.2 litre can go just as fast if given enough road.
It is a matter of being frustrated by lack of low end torque in the 320 rather. The leisurely acceleration from the lights and poor ingear acceleration will guarantee to make you 'pek chek'.

IMO the performance of the 325 is nearer to that of the old 328 then to the 320, which is a good thing. From there, if you want, you can make affordable mods like ECU reprogramming, sprintbooster and you will be glad that you have started off with the 2.5 as a base engine instead of the 2.2.

Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe

I'm hitting about 14.8l/100km... bleah... Full tank will last me about 360km for city driving.

Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe

Coz u r on 19in rims and besides, coupe is slightly heavier than 4dr sedan.
