E90 Vacuum Pump Seal Lifespan

Hi folks,

Any idea how long these seal(s) can last?
I replaced mine abt 20k km ago and it seems to be leaking again, although it's also possible that it's valve cover gasket.
Have replaced VCG recently but there's still oil stain on the inner portion of the oil pan near to the firewall.
Possible that it's warped valve cover since its plastic? That's what a WS told me.
Anyone with similar experience?

The VCG a piece of rubber sitting in a groove between a metal and plastic surface.

Take ithe valve cover off carefully and have a look ... See if any part of the rubber gasket is bent or twisted.

Then examine the valve cover itself.

Also some sealants are not suitable for NVH or high heat environments.....the way sealants are applied is also key.

My VCG lasted 4 years. My OFHG leaked after 3 years.

So it's unlikely a leakage from vacuum pump seal?

I can my ride at a shop in KB synergy and not issue till now

You change the seal at what mileage?
How long has it been?

Post a pic easier to understand the problem ...

OFHG is the oil filter housing gasket .... Not relevant for now just an fyi.
