Very paiseh.. 1st time drive topless car.... when the top is opened, the "red" indicator light betwwen the open/close top switch is blinking.

Is this normal?

Re: E85 Red indicator blinking when topless???

Probably it means the opening/closing wasn't completed when you took your finger off the button. Just finish the job!

Mine was an E46 cabrio (with a completely hidden soft top) so it may not work the same way.

Check inside the trunk that you have nothing blocking along the sides and on top of the platform that the top fold onto. Blinking red means its not opened fully

Top fully open when yr window are wind up again. If window are down means not done yet. This is what happen to mine.

Bro

I had the same problem.

The whole process goes this way.

When you press the button,
Windows come down halfway,
top starts to retract until its stored away,
A few moments of silence,
Windows go back up.

If you lift your finger before the window goes back up, the red light blinks.

I had the same problem.

Hope this helps.

Good solution is gaptech "one touch"

you don't need the window to be up for the red light to go off.

Re: E85 Red indicator blinking when topless???

My red light goes off when my top is fully open. Don't have to wait till the windows come down. The process is supposed to be done once the top is fully down, the opening or closing of window is an additional function when you keep pressing the button.
