e60 Trunk Shock Absorber/spring malfunction?

Any bros out there had this problem?

I am wonderng if i really have to replace the shock absorber, or there is a way to adjust the current ones...any experience?

No way. Once the damper loses pressure, the spring out powers it and the boot springs up.

Yup only 1 side but that side with the spring and damper not cheap. If you can live with it, try to tahan. Not worth it. Most of the other models, the strut keeps the boot up. So die die must change.

Got Prada sprint and damper? I heard Prade gives lifetime warranty.

Ha ha. The damper unit is OEM some more. If It comes in blue and white box, expect to pay about 30% more. See if can tahan.
