E60 temperature

Merlin... me too. I only got 3 lines. Never more or less. Must be the newer 525....could this be wrong?

Hi guys,

I think you may have got it wrong, i flipped thru the owner handbook and found out that the white lines are called "advance warning zone" for our engine rev limit while the part in red is the "warning zone".

Immediately after a cold start, the advance warning zone is at lower rev cos our engine components are not sufficiently warmed up to their optimum operation temp.

Conclusion is our E60 does not have oil or water temp display except that it display a warning when it really overheats.
