I just got a used 320i e46. Auto. Just changed out transmission fluid, power steering, coolant, rear differential, and right two 'regulators' for my power window.
What are the other things that would need to be changed as a 'preventive' maintenance?
How about any impending things that I would need to be changed and how about tell tale signs?
How about the belts? How many are there in total, when should they be changed, and how much would the damage be?
Car is 3 years old. How long does the radiator last before i starts puking coolant out and any tell tale signs? Battery? bushings? Steering rack? What else? Just need to be prepared...my first used car.
I noticed a slight WOOOOO sound coming from the REAR, or it could be in the middle. Not entirely sure. It is NOT the tires, but it is definitely something that sounds only when the car is moving. Could it be the bearings? Or is it common for e46s to have a slight hum? You can hear it when you're cruising with no throttle as you won't be able to hear it when you throttle because of the engine/exhaust. Any ideas?
