phil Well-Known Member Aug 13, 2009 #1 All Got E36 325, when door is closed, car wont start, no ignition lights on dash, nothing. When door is open, it starts! WTF? Is the eleccie windows circuit somehow wired into a smart lock system where it wont allow ignition? Anyone got any clues?

R2D Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2009 #4 Re: E36 325 coupe starting problem sounds like you've got a short circuit along the door light switch. go under the dash/steering to find if there is an alarm system that is playing havoc... My money is on the alarm..

phil Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2009 #5 Re: E36 325 coupe starting problem I found it. The battery cable was freyed. Sitting in the car jaulted it enough to give it enougfh connection. Stupid car, last place I looked!
