Juz change it around 100k or earlier.

My previous E39 fuel pump uplorry around 105k.

Because when driving jap and korean cars, also need to replace as preventive measures but surprise that our bimmer no need to replace unless kaput

100k mileage just change ... many things vavletronic motor & sensor, gasket cover, ignition coil & spark plugs, fuel pump, vacum pump, etc
you dont want to break down at night
one short change all also cheaper and reduce downtime
do it at your trusted workshop
i change all the above .. went into workshop several times ... cost more and sibei mafan ... in/out taxi to collect car and longer downtime

My car also kaput last weekend whilst turning into from The junction along bukit Batok east. Before it kaput, it jolted twice and just stalled.

Btw, the damage to me was about 800sgd having to change the fuel pump and filter which were underneath the back seats. Your mechanic should be able to do a simple test to determine if fuel is able to pump fuel to engine compartment.
