DAB for BMW

Guys, what if I could do something for the BMW forum here where you would be able to have DAB in your cars at a special offer? HU or not, there will be options. If things work out, I'll give a better detailed report.

I'd like to guage the interest level here. Tell your friends about this (the BMW guys) and let me know. If the interest level is there, I should be able to do something pretty attractive...

The key idea, would be for me to offer a special package meant only for BMG.SG forum members. This place will be the signup place, and once everything's in place, I just arrange an installer to fit it for you... It's that simple.

Of course, for Blaupunkt's case, we got all the necessary components to make it work in your car, including steering controls...

Ok, would this work with an Eclipse 8454 Head Unit? That's the one I'll be getting.

as long as it's got an Aux in, it'll work... When I mentioned DAB in car, I was refering to 2 options.

1. Replace HU - Blaupunkt Woodstock series.
2. HU add-on - No HU replacement needed, but Aux in prefered.

For any other peripherals like steering controls for aftermarket HU, we will not be providing this service unless the HU is Blaupunkt.

Revo looks pretty neat
hmmm, but seems like the Revo-Go runs on rechargeable battery n last only 6-8hrs.
quite troublesome.. if have to bring home to charge.
unless can draw power direct from car's battery or lighter hole.

When you have this, please let me know. I am interested. In fact I have the Psion Wavefinder just to listen to DAB stations. It ain't great but it works.

er... it's the AGM for AROC.

For those who are interested in the REVO, if there's no Aux-In, don't fret... there's another way. It's not 100% crystal clear, but it's 98% better than your current FM. This is using the RF antenna connection in your current ride.

Static/interference you say? Ok, I'll let Epsilon93 comment. He's coming to check out my car later, and it's using the RF connection, instead of Aux-In (I already have a Woodstock 54 in there. kinda dumb to have 2 DAB wired up when there's no difference ya?)
