hi folks, I've fallen for the BMW drive characteristics and have forsaken a really good drive, in anticipation for a better one.

i'll miss that turbo and tiptronic transmission in the VW 1.8T, but really looking forward to the 50:50 balance, RWD and active chasis to further my "driver education".

523i has a great engine, very smooth. What colour did you get?

its white... not much choice when i got it, and a big change from black previously. guess the pros and cons would be completely reverse. not too many on the road, but anyone in white too here ? need to get some bodycare advice.

largely same as care for black. you can't go wrong with regular wax/sealant applications and weekly washes.

you'll want to wipe off stains a lot earlier though, especially stains from oils and petrols as they can cause faint yellowing in the clear coat which will be exquisitely obvious on a white car.
