Cleaning the GruppeM

Hi guys,

Any thoughts on cleaning the GruppeM filter. I've been using the good ole a wash and dry method but suspect that there may be more to it than just a quick rinse. Boy you cannot believe how dirty it gets esp with the CAI. :shoot: Do i need to put some cleaning oil on it as with the K&N filter?

Mel, just give me the GruppeM!

wah lao! you've been using it WITHOUT the K&N oil?? how to trap dirt like that?

better follow the K&N instructions and clean your filter properly man.... like immediately. today. now. go oil it.

possibly. but if the workshop does it, make sure they have the proper K&N cleaning kit and oil.

Melvin, it's a K&N filter, take out the filter and do as what u do for a KNN filter... :)

Thanks! Me and my lazy ass ... thought wash and dry was sufficient for that dang thing.

Arrrrgh this is really KNN :shoot:

I thought all K&N filters come pre-oiled from the factory.

General guideline is to have it clean every 6-9 months right?

David at BVO changed the front pads for me in the morning liao. Unfortunately i just found out about my GruppeM situation now (afternoon) so will have to head on down to Fong Kim tomorrow to get the cleaning kit.
