Hearsay it was a hardware shop, son took over & turn it into a café.

Hareware business was sold and proceeds shared.

Properties left to a cousin whom leased it to the current operators of the cafe.

Yes the original name was Hoe Seng Huat.

This godown is/was opposite where Chye Seng Huat coffee place is now, last i recall is also where the uncles had their mahjong sessions in the afternoons, as my elder cousins grew older they will drive and stop by to fetch their dads...

It is a 3 storey place and to go up is either the stairs beside the main gate or the spiral staircase behind...

my uncle, aunt and their 3 sons stayed on the second floor...i stayed a few times as a child...going up the stairs you will notice the end of the stairs on the third floor, even in the day is always very dark...not helped by the green stained glass...

paiseh gotta rush out for 6pm meeting at Red Dot...

I heard this morning got one lady arrived in her office carpark at 8.30am and there was no other car in that carpark.....and this happened on Fri 13th...spooky.......
