Child safety lock

Hi guys,

my baby son managed to pull on the inner door opener twice and the door swung open whilst i was driving..

is there any way to program the e46 so that doors do not unlock until the unlock all button is pressed?

There is a child-lock for the rear doors, a small black switch on the inside of the door, and once the child lock is activated, no amount of pulling the inner door handle will open it.

Can't help you if your kid is sitting in front though... maybe don't let him sit in front until he's old enough not to open the door?

beat his hand everytime he do it lor. then he will learn.
else next time if sit in other people's car how?

to be kiasu, i'll engage the child lock and beat his hand if he does that..

but the lock bohoh eh.. engage liao press unlock all button oso cannot open from inside..

i muz alight and open from outside.. sibei family unfriendly design.. haha..

muz check this feature on the e90.. if oso like dis mai buay liao..

no lah. child lock are meant to be like that. you buy bentley also same.
Else will compromise on the safety.

no leh.. i remember last time drove a car rear doors cannot open until unlock all button is pressed, then can open from inside.. forgot which car though..

is it those taxi with auto door? he he
press one button the door open liao. if you don pay, they no open door for you.

should be manual. can only open from outside if child safety lock activated. No auto like what you said.
