Help! I’m getting a 2011 523 f10. When you turn the car ON and start the car, for the first 1 or 2 seconds, does the “check engine” indicator light come on like in a normal Japanese car? This one I’m getting doesn’t come on at all thru the starting process. Is it normal for bmw?
Check Engine light NOT on.

It should come on and fade off after all checks are completed.

Turn the car on without starting the engine, is the "check engine" light there? If not, you need to worry.
