Carbon Monoxide smell

Hi, when I am traveling in the car with air-con turn NO. Sometimes, I can smell carbon monoxide in the car whether I turn ON or OFF the UC Automatic recirculated-air control/Recirculated-air mode.

I did read the manual said that "Right-hand LED on, recirculated-air mode: the supply of outside air is permanently shut off. The system then recirculates the air currently within the vehicle". But, it doesn't work.

Any bros here encounter this problem?

Piesay. I know carbon monoxide is odourless. I should say that other smell such as m/cycle 2T smell especially when they are infront of me. Isn't my UC Automatic recirculated-air control/Recirculated-air mode not working?

the auto re-circulation function works when the contaminants in the air breaches the threshold of the sensor. nuttin to do with smell.

i manually switch to the recirulating mode if i smell alot of carbon from other vehicle exhaust. Dont knw whether the auto function will cut off the emmission of outside air into the cabin by sensing that. Also discovered that either Auto or Off function is by the car default but not the recirculating mode.
