can advice me on valtronic motor change

can any bros advice me on the above motor change as i was advice to replace the motor including sensor and valve cover gasket as well.can any1 advice me the cost and ws.is there a need to replace these items when we replace our valtronic motor to solve eractic rpm idleing

if you go sin ming, can check

level 1 - kian teong
level 3 - juzz for car
level 4 - boss motorsport

all 3 have good experience in repairing bmw

ubi - can go 2277

valve cover gasket = must change. because open liao especially original one from factory, must replace. need to open valve cover in order to access the valvetronic

valvetronic got motor and sensor. it's more "sense" to replace both item at the same time. if replace motor, then later sensor up lorry. need to redo. same case if replace sensor and not motor. could be both items up lorry at the same time.

valvetronic motor + sensor + valve cover gasket + labour about $1200++ for my e90 320i

make sure the workshop run a full diagnostic with error code pointing the valvetronic error. if valvetronic up lorry, sure got error code captured by the diagnostic tool.

erratic rpm idling can be caused by several other parts

i had my valvtronic motor changed at 2277 earlier this march during the pre-purchase check.
the dignostic "laptop" showed that the valvtronic is due for change, thus changed it.
valve cover gasket was not changed as dealer said that it was just changed by their workshop.
total cost iirc is $650. dealer paid half, i paid half as the motor is not spolit but dignostic tool says it due for change.

bros, this valvetronic motor + sensor and valve cover gasket replacement --- can it be executed by purchasing respective parts from a stockist, and then installing in boleh land workshop? thanks..

go to realoem, input your VIN and get the part number to buy from stockist.

alternatively, go boleh land ask the workshop what they need and you come back sg to buy.
you wouldnt wanna buy the wrong stuff(s) as Eng Soon dont normally do returns.
