Bumpy rides and Worn Tires

Hi Experts, need your advice please.

My car is a 2006 E90 323i. I find the rides very bumpy and the tires are worn out.

I seek to change to a softer suspension and shock-absorber, as well as change to a Eagle F1 (R17/225/45). What are your recommendations?

Thanks!

Re: Bumpy rides and Worn Tires

Hi Toto,

I am on normal tires (R17/225/45).

I find that my car is very bumpy. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Re: Bumpy rides and Worn Tires

Bumpy could be caused by a lot of factors, like tyre pressure too high. Is it bumpy when u start using this set of tyres?

Re: Bumpy rides and Worn Tires

Hi David, I got this as a used car 12 months ago. I started to find that its bumpy around 3 months ago. I think partly due to aged tires also since its all 2006 tires.

My concerns is that whethe should I also change the suspension when I change my tires, so that I can make the rides smoother. I am not a fast dirver anyway.

Thanks

Hi Pandora,

Whats your mileage now? maybe stock suspension giving way?

change tyre first then decide later (it maybe the tyres).........

cheers

Re: Bumpy rides and Worn Tires

nothing to do with ur suspension. u r trying to remove a pimple by going for surgery. need to know what tires u r on; mileage of those tires and pressure u pump first. if u over pump ur ride will be harsh. also if on run flats they r heavy n crashy.

1st of all, change all 4 pc of tyre. Make sure that tyre is pumped to factory spec (look at the pillar or user manual). Pls don't ask what tyre is good. Buying tyre is like buying underwear. Personal preference.

For worn shocks, the indication is oil leak. Good alignment/tyre shop will notice it.

Thanks Folks!

These info are helpful. I am going to change the tires first and monitor it again.
