Life at stake, especially on NSHW...... even on local roads. Looks good, save some money and risk your (and your passenger's) lives?

Haha kenn, very you to find humor in everything.;)
Actually that last statement was for my entire post.
You guys are right, should not take chances with brakes.
Then again so many ppl on them.Hope everything holds up.

Re: Brembo-So tempting to change!

Retrofitting calipers from other marques can be done and has been done before. So far I have not heard of or seen anyone who has had an accident locally due to a retrofitted brake problem.

However, with that being said issues can arise due to insufficient technical expertise of the person who install it because these calipers origianally are NOT meant to be retrofitted. If I may boldly say, should an accident serious enough occur due to the retrofitted brake malfunction, even though it could be an original Brembo, Movit, Alcon, AP, etc, YOU will be entirely responsible for everything.

I've seen a case of someone trying to squeeze in a brand new Ferrari 355's calipers onto an E46 (customization works). Piston was jammed and brakes didnt work. Emailed Brembo, their reply came back denying any warranty claims whatsoever because it was not used on the 355 rather an E46.

I'm not beating down any person, workshop or products just thought I'd share my opinions and experience since lives are indeed at stake and the last thing you want is to go cheap, easy and then lose everything in the end.
