Raining these few days and my front brakes are emitting very loud creaking sounds (sounds like metal grinding).

Any bros can recommend where (workshops) to get brake pads that are not :

1) Cool carbon
2) Stock

Read the varied posts and seems that Hawk is not bad, and there is also a Trestar brake pads?

Cheers

EBC green stuff bro. I'm using it now and the bite is good and quiet.

Hi there, I have heard great reviews about the EBC brake pads and decided to get a Yellow Stuff for my Type R and a Red Stuff for my dad's E60. However, after installing the Red Stuff on his car, I must say I was deeply disappointed by the performance of the brake pads. The braking distance is longer as compared to the stock pads and the bite from the pads are really terrible!Car kept moving even on hard braking and really, I am very worried everytime someone hops into the car :(
I am not sure if I am the only one who faced this problem or whether there could be other causes for this..I am now looking for stock brake pads to replace the Red Stuff..damn disappointed :shakehea:

Any one has any idea why this happened??:verysad: Went to the mechanic to have the rotors checked but rotors seems to be fine

The red stuff is for high performance car that need higher temperature for the pad to work. The green stuff is a street pad which the performance is better than stock and slightly less dust than stock.

I got it from R2D and can't remember the price already. I think just slightly more than the stock pad.

Re: Brake Pads for E60

So far, my best experience is Brembo rotor (OE size) + Textar pad. Textar pad has less dust as compared to pagid.

Re: Brake Pads for E60

Does different brand rotor affect the braking performance unless it is slotted/cross drilled?

Anyone have experience with Zimmerman rotor (cross-drilled or slotted?)

Bro

I changed my brake pads for my '05 E60 with Textar pads sometime last year . Its true, lesser brake dusts than the OEM ones. Changed it KBS Motorsport.

Brembo front rotor is slotted.

where to find brembo slotted? Come with rear also?
Check with Lintrex. I am not sure whether Brembo has OE size for E60. If yes, it will be front slotted & rear vented.
