Boot Warping - WTF !!

Hey,

I did an inspection and found that when my boot closes, one side is slightly higher than the other

i.e on the right side, the boot metal is flushed with the body metal
on the left side, the boot metal is higher than the body metal

what the heck is this??
poor quality control?? due to temperature or what?

less than 2 mths old, E90 320i

Someone probably closed the boot with somethng left between the boot n body. Small prob, send to PML n I'm sure they will rectify

Just sent to PML and get it fix.. no charge since oni 2 moths old... and tell them they got Cock eye.

i suggest ask them change a new boot for u if its warpage.. unless its just alignment problem.

its usually an alignment problem... send it back to PML and bang table...

success rate high.. but if the CSA is chio with pink bra, banging method change.

Usually its the adjustment of the screws where the boot meets the hydraulic arms as there is quite a bit of play so that mechanics can adjust the boot to sit flush. Go back and highlight this to the CSA and get them to rectify this!

It's the rubber stopper that needs adjustment. One side is probably higher than the other side hence the boot cannot close properly. The same for the bonnet

ya piggy is right...i adjusted my bonnet myself. now the gap small small.....tight tight.

ps...i m happy to show pink bra CSA how to screw if she dunno. ah orh say one.
