I updated the software of my F20 118i and had an oil change at MA this morning (first visit).
The staff were very helpful, ordered a taxi for me, but no taxi vouchers were given. The previous 2 customers were given vouchers, but their rides were a 6 and 5 series, so I thought a 1er doesnt qualify. Then I overheard the receptionist telling another lady to order taxi vouchers as they ran out. Just my luck!
Cost S$10 to go from there to Jurong East MRT!
I called at 2pm to check on the status, was told to collect the car between 5-6pm.
Left my office in Raffles Place at 4:10pm, retraced my steps to go back to MA.
No taxis in sight at Jurong East! Waited a long time, decided to call MA and ask for alternatives.
Was told to take bus 178 from Jurong Library, alight at Carrier in Jln Ahmad Ibrahim.
Collection was smooth, the car was washed, tyres blackened, very nice.
However, the passenger seat was reclined and not put back to its original position, which I thought was odd.
I summised the software was upgraded as all the settings were gone, radio stations retuned with a lot more than what I had before.
Trip meter was reset and read about 3km. Journey meter was also reset, but showed 17litres/100km. consumption. Someone test drove the car flat out?? Or maybe the metering was not accurate for the short distance travelled?
My car was registered as E87 118i (indent). I thought F20 is unmistakable with its "Angry Birds" headlights?
Observations after the update - generally no noticeable improvements
- Engine & braking felt smoother (probably due to the service, not the upgrade)
- remember to re-do all your Settings e.g. speed warning, time and date format, etc
Will I go MA again? Maybe... but the location is really hard to get to for collection. A taxi voucher (if I had one) is useless if there are no taxis! Alexandra more manageable for me from office....

Actually, I'm also considering on the tri-service package. Very attractive rates they gave during the promotion... Thou I save on the package, but hv to take taxi back hm n then collect car, i might in the end lose out. I stay at Queenstown, so I can walk back n there at PML. Juz my frank thots...

No worries about the taxi vouchers, it's a small thing.
It's just very traumatic trying to get to the location for collection.
I appreciate that this is outside your control, and the volume probably doesn't justify having some form of shuttle service which would make it easier for customers.

BTW the indicators don't flash anymore when I unlock or lock the car now, and I couldn't find anything in the Settings. Didn't notice it last night, only the trunk. Is this a feature of the software upgrade?
