received letter from pml today for 2013 f10 520i n20

possible camshaft manufacturing defect and brake power assistance system malfunction

need to replace inlet camshaft and vacuum pump

anyone received letter?

sian ... 2 hours to check and 2 days downtime for replacement ...

2013-14 X3 xDrive28i manufactured between June 2012 – August 2013
2012-14 Z4 sDrive28i manufactured between June 2012 – June 2013
Models not list are not affected due to different lubrication and vacuum pump designs.

They wil say no problem. Did mine few weeks ago. Plus reprogramming all tat. Few hrs job. No issue found also...

Bro,actually im wondering did they really check or juz look c look c. Cos they juz told me no problem. Im wondering wat if after they check n hv problem leh. I mean how they noe tat part confirm no issue n in fact they should juz change it even if no problem 2 ensure owners...

say no problem ... no confidence ... may be not check properly ... see see look look and run a simple check no error code program
replace ... also shaken confidence ... it may lead to other problem eventually ... you know pml standard la
changing the camshaft and vacuum pump is not like fixing door rattle sound

Yah. My car wil jerk when i release foot brake while letting car roll forward abit abit. Bt after reprogramme the jerking issue bo lai liao. At least settle off my problems. Bt my codings all gone after reset

didn't receive the letter for my 528i but my sister-in-law just got it for her 520i, even though the list didn't mention 520i... going for servicing next week see what they say

The list probably came from US website...US no 520i...
