I would have thought the new M3 will a FI-inline 6 since the TT-V8s were going to be used on the M5 and larger vehicles.

yeah reckon too
IL6 TT 3.4L or something, tuned to probably 480bhp...
and I think for a start, may not even use DCT....could be the ZF one like used in X6M/X5M
that can handle monstrous torque.

If the M5 is going V8 4.4litres bi-turbo, the new M3 should still maintain with a 4 or 4.2litres V8 NA high revving engine as per the coming new RS5.

3 2nd hand maserati granturismo

assuming price is close to 300k.

handling wise how s a maser compared to an bmw. i know gt wins hands down in looks department and prestige but how is the handling realy like

If you don't need the 4 door space, get the E92 M3 or the Maser GT, well, it's a matter of taste whichever sport coupe you choose!

In my own layman terms 630 vs GT,

630 is more nimble but GT feels more stable, probably due to weight.
630 suspension is harder, GT's skyhook is a good balance betw handling/comfort
630 steering is lighter and has less feel vs GT.

2 cents worth from an ordinary, non racing driver.

would go for the maser. bmw's handling is good no doubt but the maser is a through and through sports car. it will not be inferior to the bimmer

no such thing as too youg or too old. i have seen many young ppl in their 30's driving the maser GT. looks really classy. its the uniquness of the car and branding that makes its stand out from say a bimmer.

best is to try both cars and get a feel for urself.
