BMW gps portable

Yo bros,

recently got my E90 LCI. however, noticed an issue with the GPS on the 2nd day.

screen flickering seh... went back to PML, told them to rectify this issue.. the technician told me that he needs 2 days to resolve this problem, as the car would need to undergo tuning and stuff if the GPS needs to be replaced.. each GPS is specially attached to each car individually..

got such a thing mehs?? hmmms.. thought that all GPS are standalones and independant..

please educate me here bros! haha..

2 days for pml to fix gps problem is standard answer la
if you are lucky, end of day 1 they may call you that you car is ready.

each GPS is specially attached to each car individually.. this is another big joke that can only come out from pml's mouth. did they said your gps got your finger print activation too and it cannot work in any other car ?

No lar. BMW gps dun come with finger-print sensor. it works on mood sensor. As you get into your car, you need to smile at the GPS screen and greet it politely. Oh... it doesn't work on rainy days when the temperature drops below 28 and on hot days when the temp goes above 29. So need to maintain an equilibrium. You know what i mean?

when i got my del of my car...my gps cannot bluetooth with my H/P at that time i was using a e71(i think)..
at first i though was the gps.....so i went back to pml!!!...... they told me leave the gps with for 2days..
i refuse.... so i went to the garmin(the office is in ubi)...
they update the map for me and also rectifly my prob!...
THE SERVICE ADVISOR KONW NOTHING ABOUT THE GPS... btw they also wun change another set for you.

The services at PML sucks. They should spend times to improve their services. Especially the one at Alexandra...2 days, quite standard.

Same here, went back to PML for some GPS problem...end up collected the unit with scratch on the screen....alamak! never ending problem...

While we are on the topic of the portable GPS unit, does anybody know if it is possible to feed rear camera video into it?

doubt its possible. our gps portable unit doesnt have any AV feed.

i know of a possible way though, get those LCD rearview mirror.. the reverse cam image will appear on the mirror..
