Hi fellow members,
I am new here & had just recently purchased a new BMW 218i Gran Tourer.
But the car which I had taken possession for about a month had been making ticking sounds whenever the engine is switched off.
Been going back to BMW two times now with nothing fixed & they are telling me that this is normal (something called Catalytic converter sound).
Any fellow members here have had the same experience & if this is normal (doesn’t sounds normal to me as definitely didn’t hear all BMW or any other cars making the same sound)?
Also, any advice how can I get this resolved as it’s getting nowhere with BMW. I had left 2 cars with them for a total of 4 days for them to come back and tell me it’s normal for the car to make the ticking sound
