Hi Slater,

318i and 320i both shared the same engine..........except 318 is a de-tuned engine.....

if i am not wrong only the 6 potters are double vanos (M54 engine onwards / M52 still using single vanos)..........double vanos not on the 4 potters...

doesnt seem like the case leh. read a few articles that claim 320 is double vanos.

oh i see,

probably this newer batch valvetronic engine does have double vanos......i think 318i should have as they shared the same engine.....

Also depend on which country ther car is manufacture for like US and UK spec totally different engine from our shore..........

so that meaning newer model 10yrs below should be double vanos except the previous 318i meaning 04 model...
so i wonder did they make any improvement on the current newer ride as the older vanos had problem in cold starting,mainly due to the valve seal need to operate at a higher temp.

After this post u decide to buy Merc, u bloody turncoat. :chinese:
But still ur SLS is cover only, still use single vanos IL4 although supercharged.
U still blur?

e90 no double vanos with in-line 4. in-line 6 sure hv.
