Wah lao eh.....

Black color car so hard to maintain!!! :dramamam::wtf:
today i kena another round of bombardment by bird droppings and some unknown tree fruits or substance, on my bonnet, rooftop and door.

I wet some tissues and placed them on the affected spots, until the droppings and whatever f@#king substance it was, to soften up, before wiping them away.
But there are still stains, that cannot be removed and it is an eyesore, for there is this bloody stain just beside the BMW badge. :furious::yikess::angry::verysad:

any bros can offer any suggestions? anything to buy to help remove the stains??
I tried wiping so hard it created fine scratches on the paintwork, but stain still there!!! :whattheh:

i already had diamond brite done on the paintwork at groomwerkz after i collected the car....and no time to visit them these few days.
anything i can do to DIY?
so TL tonight cannot sleep liao.

thanks in advance.

If the bird poo stains were left to bake, sorry. It has eaten into the clearcoat (at least) - these are damn acidic stuff. Let your groomer assess the damage of the stain. If machining orbital is doable, at least you have some hope.

I had a baked bird poo stain on my previous car which sticked for almost 1 year. In between, machining could not eradicate it totally.

Liverpool 3 - nil. Woohooo!!! End of OT

Dash - Rule #1 : never park under tree. Rule #2 - when in doubt, refer to Rule #1.

The last time I used wet tissues, made things worse. Nowadays I just use sponge and lots and lots and lots of water.

Had the same experience 3 weeks ago. Found 1 big patch of baked acidic Birdshit on my car roof:shock:. Immediately took some tissue and water to clean it off. But then it had already penetrated the paintwork with a deep stain that could not be cleaned.

Went home, started with BMW polish bought from PML (Very mild type) and tried to polish it off at least 10 times. (Damn! It does not work at all)

Then I took out an old bottle of the Autoglym Polish from my previous car to try. After 4 hard polish on the affected area, the stain starts to fade. I did another 2 rounds and managed to clear out the stain totally. I was glad it worked.

Finally, finish it off with the BMW polish to a shine.

Dude, I think you scrubbed off your clearcoat !!!

Wahahahahahahaha.............

Re: Bird Dropping n Other Stains

ken is right... just an hour or so of baking in our kind of weather, that's it...

your groomer should be able to take care of this the next round you are down there...

Bro Longhorn, sometimes hard not to park under car, as no more lots left or all the lots are under trees. sigh. like that move to HK better, no trees.
haha, but later kena acid bottle thrown down from upstairs! :lol2:

I think the shit was baked for about an hour. sigh.....

anyway, i managed to remove some stains using a Polymer Wax, a blue color bottle I bought about 8 years ago, from a salesman moving from car to car in open space carpark in sims ave.

It is quite useful, removing a huge portion of the stain, now still left a bit, not so visible....not as bad as before.

hope to visit groomwerks soon.

birds ah birds....u fly around can already, why want to anyhow shit??? :furious:

Re: Bird Dropping n Other Stains

dont use wet tissues, it wont help at all, a lot of water is the best way to take it off

Re: Bird Dropping n Other Stains

Get the Sonax lotion and a Claybar, works like a champ for my Black car. Autobacs sold them.

Re: Bird Dropping n Other Stains

Hi, there's this bug stain remover i use rather than water.

Water and tissue caused minor scratches.

U can head down Autobacs, they sell them. Not 100% remover but better than creating minor scratches.
http://www.turtlewax.com/main.taf?p=2,1,4,11 + Clay bar
There are other brands too, but i use this.

Spray on the bird dropping, let it soften and use a micro-fabric cloth to wipe off. Next waxing, get the groomer to assist.

Unknown why birds like black cars :(

Re: Bird Dropping n Other Stains

hi guys,

like our brudder here, i discovered that there were water stains all over the car!!

read on the web that detailing and claying will make it worse!! it was suggested that vinegar will reduce the stain after several washes. and remember also not to let the vinegar settle as it too will cause more headaches. wash it away with water.

not too sure how the vinegar will react with the car paint though. any ideas here?

any better method?

Vinegar?? Never heard this method before.

I send my car for waxing monthly, that solves my water stain issues.

Re: Bird Dropping n Other Stains

yup,

you heard it right VINEGAR, it's actually a pretty good cleaning agent to use for stains, disinfectant and stuff.

you might say, 'chem of all stains' . at home, on cars, in cars and everywhere else.

Re: Bird Dropping n Other Stains

FYI claybar not the best solution. Max you should do it is twice a year. Although it removes almost all the dirt the usual wax cant, you get many fine scratches on your car each time you claybar. In doing so, you also have removed all the wax or polish coatings you sweat over the past few months. Claybar is the next thing to Dawn (Singaporeans call it Mama Lemon), its used to reset your wax works. Also use a claybar max 3 times, and buang it if you ever dropped it on the floor. Else its as good as taking a dirty cloth and wiping your car.
When i was anal about my ride, i used to always have a bottle of water, Zaino Z6 and a micro fibre cloth in the boot. If bird shit, wet the shit and some tissue, then leave the tissue on the shit whilst you puff a peacepipe. When its done, dont wipe, simply lift up the tissue, magic!!! Shit is gone, soaked up by the tissue. Use finger and water to wash metal to remove whats left, no need to scrub. Then use Z6 and cloth, cleaned and protected. All these.... only if in time... if shit was on car too long, damn hard, if on bonnet, wah lao best liao, double baked!!!
Sometimes Shameless do make some sense.... "Its just a piece of metal"
