Bimmian Painted Keyhole Cover

Any of you guys installed the Bimmian painted keyhole cover? I've been staring at it for over a week. A simple yet aesthetically effective enhancement to cover that silly looking keyhole.

Seriously, what are the chances for our remote to fail? I know its possible, but I'll take my chances for aesthetic sake. LOL. I just hate it when it the metal surface of the keyhole starts to show signs of discoloration, kinda look like rust. Sucks.

Anyone know where to get this for e63/4?

key hole discolouration can be prevented by wipping it during ur wash. if u have to just apply some of your grooming products and wipe off.

apart from that is the key hole so unsightly that it has to be covered? just wan to know general thoughts for having this mod

Personally, I find it redundant coz I don't use it at all. The same goes for all my other cars. Hardly ever find myself in a situation where I need to use the key to open the door. Its just me.

agreed la. car theft not prevelant here.

but from this thread i am seeing it from a diff angle. more of an aesthetic mod to cover key hole. saltue whoever uses it to beatify the car. ultimate perfectionist.

Bro, when I said it is redundant, I was referring to the keyhole. THEREFORE I WANT TO FIND THIS KEYHOLE COVER TO COVER IT. LOL. Help...anyone out there.

I have yet to come across this item in Singapore. Even the Bimmian site shows only for e90/2/3...nothing for e63/4 yet.

Group buy for e90/2/3 can. But for me, definitely can't find coz even Bimmian don't list this part for my ride.

mate, if you find the key hole chrome with the puss-puss slit unsightly may i suggest you use a waterproof acrylic marker black and paint over it.
it does not last forever but, for a few mths you DONT see the shit.
been doing this for the last 4yrs and even after polishing / countless wash / rain it still stays on and only touched up about 4-6mths.

was thinking that as well.

better still have it sprayed same colour as door handle. think spray painter dunno how to charge also.

Mine's Saph Black so gloss black might just work. Good idea. Will give that a try. But still, not covered...I'm anal.

another idea.

go to decal shops and ask them to wrap over the key hole section only with metalic black lamin X type laminate.
